2- Since Detour was published, I have been a guest lecturer at over fifty universities and organizations across the country. During my presentation, I share insight about mental illness and recovery, do a group reading from Detour (with audience volunteers reading from scripts), and lead a lively Q&A session. I always look forward to the opportunity to travel and speak with groups about mental health, because I learn so much, and I connect with communities who are actively working to fight stigma and support families in crisis. I am currently booking lectures for 2008 and 2009--and I hope you'll soon bring me to your neck of the woods to speak. This September I will be speaking at Simmons College for their freshman orientation, and at Southern New Hampshire University. More soon....

3- I've also been doing a ton of arts, culture and travel writing. A Gallery Scene piece for the NY Sun. An interview with Rosario Dawson. And my partner and I traveled to Japan to write travel pieces for Los Angeles Confidential, Capitol File, and Luxury Travel Advisor.
